“Addressing housing inequity through Universal Design”

This first event builds on our conversation at last year's Housing Forum about the intersection of housing and inclusion. At this exciting launch event, Dr. Calvin Luk will join Judy Heumann to share his experience and expertise on the topic of Universal Design* and how we can take action to address systemic inequities in Hong Kong through barrier-free environments. Judy Huemann, an International Disability Rights Advocate, has been instrumental in the development and implementation of legislation, such as Section 504, the Individuals with Education Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Judy is also featured in the Oscar-nominated documentary, Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution.
